Naast mixed-media werken schilder ik ook op canvassen. Het zijn bijna altijd gezichten. Ze stellen net als op papier niet iemand voor maar wel een emotie, een moment. Gezichten als expressie niet als een portret.

Het moment dat je glimlach verdwijnt en je woorden verstommen. Met de volgende ademhaling wordt de stilte in je wezen helder. Dát is het moment waarop ik met mijn verf schrijf.

Ik hou ervan om structuur op doek te brengen en de kleuren rood en goud te combineren. De structuur op het doek weerspiegelt de littekens, het haar in helder goud als een kroon om hun essentie te vieren, de essentie van kwetsbaarheid.

Mijn schilderijen zijn te ontdekken en te koop via winkels, galerijen en rechtstreeks bij mij. Elk schilderij is een uniek werk, met de hand opgebouwd vanuit gevoel, intuïtie en verbeelding.

Alongside my mixed-media works, I also paint on canvas. They are almost always faces. Just like my works on paper, they do not portray a specific person, but rather an emotion, a moment. Faces as expression, not as portraits.

The moment your smile fades and your words fall silent. With the next breath, the stillness within becomes clear. That is the moment I write with paint.

I love bringing texture onto canvas and combining shades of red and gold. The texture reflects scars and layers, while the hair, painted in bright gold, appears like a crown celebrating their essence — the essence of vulnerability.
