An Ode to the Belgian Coast
Even with the Dutch words, the book is accessible to everyone because of the 244 pages, only 13 pages contain words, al others are full of visual artwork. In this book, artworks come to life that reflect the unique charm of the Belgian coast. It takes you on a journey along the ten towns that embrace the North Sea.
‘Between the Waves’ arose from an idea by grietgriet, but its creation is truly a collaboration. Katia Maeyaert (katlovesostend) captured elements of the coast and the towns with her unique photographic perspective. Grietgriet transformed these photos, together with her drawings and paintings, into harmonious collages. Karen, with her talent for words, poetically enriched these images.
It is an invitation to experience the towns along the Belgian coast from a fresh perspective.
