In dit werk staat één gezicht centraal, opgebouwd uit getekende en geschilderde lijnen, verweven met fragmenten uit boeken en tijdschriften. Het beeld draagt sporen van beweging en verstilling, als iets dat voortdurend verandert en toch blijft.

Er sluimert een connectie met de zee — in ritme, in gelaagdheid, in wat zichtbaar wordt en weer verdwijnt. Zoals een landschap dat nooit hetzelfde is, laat ook dit beeld zich niet vastleggen.

Wat je ziet, ontstaat in het kijken. Het werk blijft open, verschuift, en nodigt uit om telkens opnieuw te ontdekken wat zich onder de oppervlakte bevindt.
